HAMPTON BAY DAYS

September 10 – 12, 2010

Celebrating its 28th year, this annual festival is a combination of free entertainment on two stages, a
family friendly area with a children’s stage, rides for kids under twelve, 40 booths of interactive
educational fun that encourages stewardship of the Chesapeake Bay, 100 Arts & Crafts booths, 35
food vendors, and one of the longest fireworks displays in the area. All in Downtown Hampton, VA.  
There will be a lineup posted on their website www.baydays.com very soon.

Enjoy over 35 groups-classic rock, reggae ,country, alternative,  jazz and R&B-on three outdoor
stages. You will enjoy National Headline entertainers on the Hampton City Hall Stage. Local
favorites can be found on the Mill Pond Park Stage, a picturesque outdoor amphitheater with plenty
of shade and seating for the whole family.  The Bay Education Stage provides two days of children’
s entertainers and shows highlighting the Bay and the importance of clean water. This area you can
also enjoy aquatic art workshops, interactive displays and educational speakers-all working
together to Save the Bay.

Cancellations:   Deposit will be refunded if cancellation is made within 45 days before the tour date.  However, all out of
pocket expenses incurred by Holloway Tours including, without limitations, theatre or other tickets purchased by
Holloway Tours shall be non-refundable. If cancellation is made less than 45 days before the tour date, Holloway Tours
deposit will be refunded only if a substitute can be found.  If Holloway Tours cancels the tour, all money will be refunded.

Arrive in Only, VA at the Sage Dinner (on your own) for a late breakfast.
Depart Only, VA and head for Newport News, VA.
Pick up step on guide after the tunnel.         
Arrive in Newport News.
                        
We will start with a “Behind the Scenes tour of the Mariners’ Museum”.  Designated as
“America’s National Maritime Museum”, The Mariners’ Museum illustrates the spirit of
seafaring adventure through a renownedand diverse collection of artifacts, including
rare figureheads, handcrafted ship models, paintings, the international Small Craft
Center, and more. The remains of the most famous Civil War ironclad have a permanent
home in the award winning USS Monitor Center, where visitors can be part of the action
in the high-definition battle theater, walk a full-scale Monitor replica, view interactive
exhibits, and see notable artifacts, like the renowned gun turret, as they undergo
conservation. The Museum is located within the beautiful 550-acre Mariners’ Museum
Park, which features the wooded five-mile Noland Trail and tranquil Lake Maury.

Tour of the Virginia Living Museum.  Explore Virginia’s natural heritage from the
mountains to the sea with live exhibits that look back at you. Transport yourself to the
steamy world of a cypress swamp, complete with alligators and snapping turtles. Find
songbirds nestled in the trees around a cascading waterfall and view trout in a cool
mountain stream. Explore the underwater world of the Chesapeake Bay and the
underground realm of a limestone cave, plus enjoy hands-on activities. See spectacular
views of the sun from the Observatory. Outdoors, stroll the ¾-mile elevated boardwalk
to view coastal birds, red wolves, otters and other native animals in naturalized habitats
and explore native plant gardens.

After dinner, enjoy the ongoing entertainment in downtown Hampton.

Enjoy downtown Hampton’s Bay Days Entertainment, food and fun.

Depart for Norfolk with our step on guide.
Cruise up and down the Elizabeth River and past the Norfolk Naval Base aboard the
Victory Rover.
                      
We will return back to Hampton to our hotel for the rest of the night to enjoy The Bay
Days Celebration (on your own).

Tour of Olde Towne Portsmouth with Colonel Crawford.

Return back to Hampton to enjoy more Bay Days Performances.

Leave Hampton and head for home.
